Saturday Morning in Williamsburg: Dunkin' Donuts Grand Opening on Metropolitan Avenue off Union Avenue

It is going to be a great year for those of us who live in this part of Williamsburg because this morning a brand-new wonderful Dunkin' Donuts had its grand opening on Metropolitan Avenue, just off Union Avenue and steps away from the Lorimer Street/Metropolitan Avenue L/G subway entrance.
We welcome the new Dunkin Donuts to the neighborhood and look forward to not schlepping to Graham Avenue for iced tea with lemon anymore. Ever since Tao Lin moved out from the apartment above that Dunkin' Donuts, it just hasn't been the same.

Almost two months after CCNY administrators seized the Guillermo Morales-Assata Shakur Student and Community Center, CUNY students and community supporters held an open mic outside the NAC (North Academic Center, where we had our office when we taught Cold War Literature three years ago) this evening, before marching through Harlem to spread their message.
