Tonight we had the pleasure of attending the kickoff of this summer's revived New York Philharmonic Summer Concert Series, joining a crowd of thousands at the Middle Long Meadow of Prospect Park to hear the Philharmonic, under the direction of Alan Gilbert, sublimely play Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony and Respighi's tone poems
Fountains of Rome and
Pines of Rome, followed by fireworks.
We're grateful we got to hear the Philharmonic in such an idyllic setting on such a beautiful summer night.
