At 3 p.m. today, we saw a great little show by the Brooklyn band
Caged Animals at the Fulton Stall Market on Beekman Street at South Street Seaport.
A presentation of the Sound Bites Summer Series, the hour-long set Caged Animals - of whom The New Yorker wrote, "Sounds something like a hip-hop-influenced Velvet Underground" - sang some terrific songs from their early work and debuted at least one new song. It was a real treat to see them on this cool, darkish late-summer Sunday afternoon.
