Wednesday Evening En Route to Williamsburg: Sitting Under a Tree on the L Train
On Wednesdays we get the L train at Lorimer Street around 7:00 a.m.
We teach a class all morning at the fabulous School of Visual Arts. We usually get back on the L train around 7:00 p.m., at Eighth Avenue, after teaching a class that ends at 6:15 p.m. at the wonderful City College of New York.
This evening we didn't get a seat on the A train all the way from 145th Street to 14th Street and we were tired from teaching Blake, Wordsworth, Byron and Lolita all day.
But we lucked out and got our favorite seat on the L train at the end of the second car, under the shade of a tree.
It's so great to see the L train going green.
Unfortunately for us, the tree got off at Bedford Avenue.
