It's always a pleasure to land at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank. We sat in the last row aisle seat and were the first one off the plane.

There are so few airports left where a commercial flight lands and you can exit into the outdoors and see such a great view.

We even like the outdoor baggage claim. Once we saw Debbie Reynolds here.

The sun felt hot as we waited a couple of minutes for our ride back to Woodland Hills.

Ever since the first time we landed in Burbank on a Southwest flight from San Jose in late April 1998, after we finished our two month artist residency at Villa Montalvo, we've always loved the view of the mountains when we first walk off the plane. We used to visit much more often but have been away for six years. It is nice to be back in Southern California again.
